My Story
I'm Dulce Jaquín, Nicaraguan, and it all began with a gray backpack and a catalog over 600 pages long.
When I arrived in the United States, I carried a suitcase, a mountain of debt, and three children who depended on me. I worked mornings, but it was never enough. One day I bought a pair of earrings believing they were real gold. They weren't. That moment sparked a decision that would change my life: "I want to sell real gold. The good kind."
With no capital, no store, and no contacts, I went door to door carrying a catalog that felt heavier than my own dreams. Many looked at me with doubt. I never imagined that backpack would become, more than 14 years later, a brand built on history, heart, and authentic gold: Oro Dulce.
I didn't choose the name myself. My clients did, when I noticed they'd started saving me in their phones as "Oro Dulce" instead of my own name. That's when I understood what still guides everything I do today: I don't just sell jewelry, I sell trust.
From door to door, to the world
With my first $500 in savings, I bought 10 pairs of earrings and was finally able to show my pieces in person. Selling stopped being a promise and became an experience.
Starting in Key West, a small island, my jewelry began traveling: Colorado, California, Texas, Maryland, Ohio, and even beyond U.S. borders. Because gold, I learned early on, has no limits.
The journey wasn't easy. The 2020 pandemic slowed my sales to a halt and doubled the price of gold. But even in that uncertain moment, an opportunity appeared, and the choice to bet on my business once again became a turning point. Between 2021 and 2024, I lived my biggest growth yet: I started designing custom pieces, my clients kept coming back, and a growing community trusted every single delivery.
In July 2025, after 14 years of selling person to person, I opened my online store, bringing every piece and every story to anywhere in the world.

Thanks to this business, I was able to pay my daughter's college tuition, semester after semester, until I watched her graduate.
